If you are the kind of person who likes to play it safe when it comes to firmware in this case you stick with sony's official firmware
Well life isn't all that bad one thing you can do that is legal and safe! is you can use and play portals
This one for example re-sembles windows xp!
you can find these kind of portals just by searching in google psp portal, you can do this on the top of this page by selecting google an typing in psp portal, or you can open a new window and go to www.google.com
There are loads of websites which hosts these portals i have linked just one of many on the portals button to your left!
But now you are thinking how?
Well i have a noob! guide for people new to the psp scene
1.connect psp
2.unzip file to dekstop!
3.copy file into the root of your psp next to folders PICTURE,PSP,etc!
4.with this file once unzip to your desktop there's a read me so obviously read it!
5.this will tell you what url address to type in
6.disconnect psp
7.on your psp scroll to the internet
8.open it!
9.now press triangle
10.scroll and select enter address
11. now type in the address given in the readme file on your desktop!
12.there you go!
13.controls are the normal psp controls!.
Also you can download psp demos! for your psp from sony site or again! searching in google psp demos,(!please note for downloading games from the sony site you must register you and your psp details!).

Instructions to install and play!
Extract the contents of the zip file.
1. Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable.
2.Copy File to PSP>GAME .
3.Disconnect then scroll to game icon
and play!
Aswell you can get psp wallpapers for your psp, you can get them by again searching psp wallpapers in google, hear are some examples.

To download Right Click and select save pictures as
Then copy to PSP>PICTURE
Now scroll to picture select picture then select as wallpaper
Now for music, you can either rip music cd's to mp3's or download from the internet whichever suits your needs.
To download Right Click and select music
Then select copy
Copy to PSP>MUSIC
Now scroll to music select music and play .
Oh and not to mention themes for you psp, you can get them by again searching psp themes in google or go to the link for one of many sites that's provide on the hompage.
